G1/Android Google Account Reset/Switch

Short description of how to change the Google Account a G1/Android phone is tied to.

This was mostly lifted from:

Do the following:

  1. From the main screen click on the "menu" button, then select "Settings", "Applications", "Manage applications".
  2. Select and then Clear Data from the following apps:
    Gmail
    Gmail Storage
    Google Apps
    Google Search
  3. Then go back and open the Gmail app.  It should bring up the wizard to enter new account information.

Gmail Storage keeps trying to re create itself so you have to make sure all 4 are clear before you exit application manager.
